  1. Beautiful, just beautiful. I have found this to be true in my life as well. I believe I need to love and accept all of my feelings, they all have a right to be acknowledged. Once I feel them, accept them, and allow them to move through me, I learn and I grow. Then, I lovingly let them go, so the Universe can hold them for me. That leaves room in my heart and in my soul for growth and love to come in and fill the spaces. All of our emotions teach us and help move us forward and I am grateful for all of them — and this amazing process we call “life”.

  3. I am trying to get a hold of Deron, for a problem I have been having in the Huntington Beach, CA group. I have been removed from the group and falsely accused of something that I have done. I was never given a chance to defend myself, but found guilty, labeled, and removed. I am very passionate about standing on the principal of the matter, not backing down, and ready to do everything and anything to come against the group and the company if I have to. I have tried to get a resolve with Joel, who is in charge of the Freecycle for California, but my efforts have been unsuccessful. Joel knows my predicament the most, but doesn’t have the balls to step in and do anything about it. I am hoping that someone will take my predicament seriously. I can be reached at itsfuntoemail@yahoo.com.

  4. Fords book should be read by anyone looking for spiritual freedom. Seeing is truly believing and his word are a testomonial to my life… I really like the audio version of the book. I was able to listen leisurely on my ipod. The hemesync helped.

  5. Hi Girls… love love love the show… and will be joining it once the timing fits. 10am here Tues/Sats is a little inconvenient for a few more weeks. Meanwhile I’m completely with you as I listen in to the shows – now I’m figuring out how to email the announcement… I know I know you’ve said it a hundred times!!! Dale.

Hi Sydney, I’m just listening to the podcasted version of Episode #44 right now, and wanted to submit a quick comment about this episode’s Good News story about the woman who made down comforters for her son and other soldiers serving in Afghanistan. While I think what she’s doing is commendable in terms of providing her son and the other soldiers with needed warmth on those cold nights, I must also point out that down is definitely not a “good news” story for the ducks and geese who provide the feathers, and that using down for these purposes is not necessary.

The synthetic alternatives to down not only prevent the cruelty involved in “harvesting” down from slaughtered birds (or plucking the birds repeatedly while they’re still alive, which is another common practice), but synthetic “down” is also lighter, warmer, and would perform much better in the kind of conditions soldiers are likely to encounter in the field. Synthetics also tend to be hypoallergenic, an added bonus.

You can find information about down production at the following link:

Please understand that I’m not criticizing this lady at all for the work that she’s doing, just pointing out something that tends to fly under our collective radar. I must admit that I personally own a down comforter which I bought several years ago, never even considering that down is feathers, that feathers come from birds, or that the birds probably suffered in the process. We live in a society that encourages us to forget these things. Now that I know where down comes from and how it is produced, I will never again consider buying any item that contains it. I hope your readers will find this information similarly empowering.

And for a Good News story really is good news for ALL beings involved, please check out the wonderful work Karen Davis is doing with her organization United Poultry Concern:

Karen runs a sanctuary for abused hens, ducks, turkeys, geese and other birds, and she does educational outreach encouraging humans to extend our circle of compassion to include all beings.

OK, I guess that wasn’t such a quick comment but I really felt I had to share it. Keep up the good work! I will go back to listening to the rest of the episode now.

  9. Hello Sydney and Diana:

Just wanted to thank you and Diana again for a great interview on your show last night. I’d like to know what your listeners thought about this show and how they benefited from applying some of the aspects of the unconditional freedom process that I shared about. I’d also like to encourage everyone to read and listen to some of the amazing stories of transformation a few of my students and clients shared about. They are available on my myspace blogs (http://testimonialsmyspaceblog.drclauderecommends.com). And finally I encourage as many people as possible to go through this quick and simple but very powerful process with me as soon as they are willing to be free from at least one of their unwanted conditions.

For additional questions or comments anyone might have, please send them to me at http://www.AskDrClaude.com. Anyone mentioning that they heard me on your show will receive an additional 20% discount on my services if they contact me within 7 days of listening to it.

  10. i surfed in here for the exact same reason. i was a member of delcopafreecycle in southeastern pa from its inception and we used to have the best group you could ask for. but the list owner moved and handed the group over to someone she thought she could trust. however, the new owner took on an extremely haughty moderator who removed me without reason. i sent email exchange to mike (goa of pa) proving my position but he too just rolled over even though my groups mods offered no proof against me. apparently, their word trumps my facts. the parent organization abhors flaming, yet offers members zero recourse against bad moderators. i am hoping that someone will take a serious look at my situation also. i can be reached at lmatchgirl@hotmail.com

    Ms. Allen,
I met you many years ago in Albany, NY at the Empire State Plaza where you were showing some of your works. You had one painting I fell in love with but couldn’t afford at the time. However I have always thought about it. It was titled “Mak’in Pancakes.”
I was wondering if by any chance you still have that particuliar piece?
If so I would be most interested in obtaining it so that I have an original piece by you that I truely love.

  15. I love what Shelly has to say, here. Laughter truly is the best medicine. In fact, Dr. Norman Cousins wrote about this in his personal journal many years ago.

Dr. Cousins was very ill and given no hope for recovery. He ordered his caregivers to bring him all the funny stuff they could find — books, stories, pictures.

He laughed many times a day (unlike most adults who laugh only 10 – 15 times per day) and cured himself! He was a medical miracle — and his book has sold millions of copies. I recommend it for some outrageous reading.

It’s often a challenge to bring FUN into your life as an adult woman; too many responsibilities, not enough time, energy or money.

But there are loads of inexpensive ways to maximize your fun quotient. Take a look at some of the stories we have to share, or write to us and share one of your own!

  16. I guess it would help if I put the location — http://www.fun-wey.com

  17. I own a lawn service business and I am trying to learn more about running my business more green. I am trying to ask any experts I can get a hold of. How am I going to service 15 to 30 accounts a day as green as possible. Trying to use a reel mower can be possible, but I don’t think it cuts high enough. I can’t use battery powered whips, edgers and blowers they again won’t last long enough. Is there anything out there yet to help a small business mow green?

  18. Can’t wait to have ya’ll back!

  19. I liked the Abraham quote today, too. I’m usually a positive person, but I know what you mean…. I like to feel in control of my life and if you don’t look at Hope the right way, it’s the opposite of Hope! Talk about wicky wacky. Love the show. Glad you are back!

  20. Thank you Beth…LOL yes how wicky wacky is that? And thanks for listening to the show

I don’t know. For me, it spells out why we still hang on to the tenets of ancient theologies. I like what it points out, but I don’t think it’s being pointed out properly, or to the right audience.

    C’est la vie!

i heard the conferance call from joyce and i cant thank u enough for sending me the notecard in sl sydney 🙂

  29. This is beautiful! Thank you!

  30. Unfortunately, this is how (political) society works. Laws are erroneously and illogically put in place, a great majority of which do not actually solve society’s fundamental problems, but rather maintain the status quo.

Because of these ‘monkeys’ we live by laws and punishments that don’t make sense, like the bananas and ice water. And so (many) laws really do not benefit society.

Just watch out. There is an ongoing gradual shift from our democracy to a police state. I fear the future.

  31. What if the world were different? What if the world were a place where everybody was happy? What if the world were a place where everything (animals and plant life included) was at peace? What if we, as humans, lived harmoniously with our surroundings? What if the purpose of life was to be joyful – all the time? The intention of this blog is to provide examples of answers to these questions.

We are all co-creators of the future.

Adhering to this premise, all of the posts that can be found at “Imagine Into Being” are intended to co-create the future. These “imaginings” are wonderful additions to the possibilities of what is to happen in the future. Every thought ever created is part of a grander collection of thoughts. The more times a thought is believed and energy it garners (by way of more and more people believing it), the more likely it is that this thought is going to occur. This is the perfect reason for this blog.

The world is aching for more positive and intentional thoughts to be added to the collection. This blog seeks to do that by contributing a number of intentional and very different possibilities for the world.

    With Love and Gratitude,

    The Intentional Sage

    Hi Sydney,

I just wanted to let you know that I very recently discovered your podcast and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Hi Sydney!
I had myself a good laugh when I got to the part about the definition of yoke. You see it has the same root as yoga and when approached from that end the meaning stays pretty much the same, but the interpretation becomes much more profound.

[Yoga (Sanskrit, Pāli: योग, yoga) is a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline, originating in ancient India.[1][2] The goal of yoga, or of the person practicing yoga, is the attainment of a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility while meditating on the Hindu concept of divinity,…

The Sanskrit word yoga has the meaning of union.

Yoga is the method of yoking, or unifying, the “lower” (egoistic) personality (those inclinations that in Hellenistic philosophy and Christianity are called passions) to the “higher” via a process of sublimation.[17] In Vedic Sanskrit, the term “yoga” besides its literal meaning, the yoking or harnessing of oxen or horses, already has a figurative sense, where it takes the general meaning of “employment, use, application, performance” (compare the figurative uses of “to harness” as in “to put something to some use”).]

I got the above from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoga

I could get into a very long essay/dissertation here, but I’ll give my short version for now.
I got my BA in Religious Studies. When it come to studying religions, that is like saying ‘I got a couple of dimes’ when a whole hundred dollars is called for.
(Most people only have pennies and believe they own the bank.) I digress.

In my studies I started to see close connections and similarities between the Old Testament and the Vedas and other Hindu scripture – “In the beginning there was sound” is from the Vedas. And Brahma created the Universe from his dreams and/or the drops sweat from his brow while he dreams, according to some Hare Krishnas.
Most of the Bible never made sense to me – all those ‘men begatting more men’ what happened to the women? – and quite a bit of it angered me, it was soooo Patriarchal and spiteful and yada yada. You get my point.
Thing is my background knowledge of Hinduism & the Vedas has helped me “get” Neville’s metaphysical interpretation and your readings much better. Now the Bible is finally beginning to make sense to me.

    Thanks and Much Love,

    • Thank you Susana for adding your awesome thoughts into the mix. I throughly get what you have written here. I love it! Much love right back atcha!! Syd

  35. I too am trying to get in touch with anybody at free cycle.
I used to use yahoo and now I am using gmail.
I am trying to get free cycle on gmail, I signed in on gmail but because it is on yahoo it won’t let me do gmail. That is what I am thinking. Will some one please get in touch with me so we can figure this all out.
I have things to give away and can’t post them.

    • You can use gmail for a yahoo group. You just need to have a Yahoo ID set with your gmail account as your primary email.

  36. Yes, the POWER does exist. And using it can make us all consciously well.

  37. Such poetic writing. I enjoyed the metaphor.

  38. Susana Guerra | October 3, 2012 at 12:32 pm |

YES!!!! This is so so true. I think that bit about announcing your plans and intentions to everyone the minute you get an idea is BS! Haters will jump out of the woodwork and do every ish imaginable to sabotage your plans.
Say your intention is to lose weight. You make an announcement to ‘friends’, family &/or co-workers. All of a sudden they are all cooking up everyone of your most favorite fattening dishes, and with an air of innocence and false sincerity they say things like, “oh I know you’re on a diet but,.. one bite won’t hurt” or “I made it just for you, because I know it’s your favorite.”
I too have learned to go ahead with my intention first. then let others take notice of the change. Works better that way.

    • So true Susana and it does totally work better for them to see it after it’s done!! That is how I roll through the Universe nowadays. I keep the door to my dreams, goals, intentions shut to everyone else except myself and God within! 🙂

  39. I was thinking of my own issues with clarity, thought of you, and came here, to your site and found this blog entry. How timely. Thank you. It’s wonderful how these things happen.
